Consent & double opt-in
You join only by actively ticking a consent box and then confirming via a link we email you (double opt-in). You confirm you are 18 or older; we don't ask for a birth date. You can withdraw consent anytime — every email has one-click unsubscribe, or email contact@lighthouse-tales.com.
Children
Our content is for a general audience and sign-up is parent/teacher/adult-facing. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child gave us data, email us and we'll delete it.
Who processes your data
Under data-processing agreements, on our instructions:
- Kit (Kit.com, Inc.) — our email platform (stores the list, sends emails; US-based).
- Cloudflare — domain, email routing, and website hosting.
Some providers are based outside the EU/EEA (e.g. the United States). Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
How long we keep it
We keep your email while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from active sending and keep only the minimal record needed to honour that choice. You can ask us to erase your data entirely.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, erase, port, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent anytime. Email contact@lighthouse-tales.com — we respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Cookies
Our forms and site may set strictly necessary functional cookies via our providers. If we add analytics or non-essential cookies later, we'll update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email.
